Teaching social media users to think like journalists

Joan Lunden tells Brian Stelter about her involvement with The Poynter Institute’s MediaWise initiative, to helping seniors differentiate fact from fiction on social media. She says people should “look for the little things that all of us who are journalists know to look for, like, when did this post actually get posted? Is it really a new post? Is it really a fact? Can you actually find something else to verify those facts?”
